Michael Hagedorn

Michael Hagedorn found a Sunset Bonsai Book in a library, which eventually led to an apprenticeship under Kokufu. He got Prime Minister Award bonsai master Shinji Suzuki of Nagano, Japan in 2003.He taught at home, Germany, and South Africa, maintains client trees. He is the founder of the Portland Bonsai Village, an affiliation of bonsai professionals in the Northwestern USA, that fosters the educational and economic wellbeing of the bonsai community.
